Precision Language Suite - License agreement

Except where otherwise noted, all of the documentation and software included in the Precision Language Suite package is copyrighted by Precision software & consulting.

This software is provided "as-is," without any express or implied warranty. In no event shall the author be held liable for any damages arising from the use of this software.

Definitions:

The Precision Language Suite consists of two, differently licensed, parts. They are the "Localization source codes" and the "Localization projects editor".

1. "Localization source codes" term means all the source files, documentation and the provided syntax of localization (language) files format, that are distributed in the "Precision Language Suite" package.
2. "Localization source codes" are distributed as a freeware, subject to the rights and restrictions mentioned bellow.
3. "Localization projects editor" is a support tool, designed to prepare localization (language) files. Its free trial version is also a part of the "Precision Language Suite" distribution package.
4. "Localization projects editor" is distributed as a shareware (try-before-you-buy) product.

Rights and restrictions for "Localization source codes":

1. You may redistribute this software, but the distribution package must not be modified in ANY WAY. All redistributions of this package must retain all occurrences of the above copyright notice and web links that are currently in place (for example, in the about boxes or documentation).
2. You may use the "Localization source codes" as a part of any project, including personal, educational, non profit or commercial projects. But the origin of this source codes (or its part) must not be misrepresented - you must not claim that you wrote the original software.
3. You may modify the "Localization source codes" as a part of your project, to best fit your needs for this project, but you may not distribute any part of "Localization source codes" (modified or not) nor its binary form, as a standalone localization support product.
4. With the help of "Localization source codes" you may develop and use your own editor to prepare localization files for your project, but you may not distribute such an editor in any way, does not matter if it is for profit or not.
5. If you want, you can provide a link to the Precision software & consulting web site in the about box or documentation part of your product, but this is not required.
6. Any unauthorized use, listed in one of the previous points, shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this license and may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution.

Permissions for "Localization projects editor":

1. Anyone may use the "Localization projects editor" during a test period of 30 days. Following this test period of 30 days or less, if you wish to continue to use this product, you must buy the license and register it.
2. Registered "Localization projects editor" is identified by the name of the company or person, that the product purchased, in the title bar and the "about box" of the editor. Registered editor can be used for any purpose, that does not violate this license agreement.
3. One registered product can be installed only in one selected location (on the hard disk, or on a portable drive) and can be used only by one user at a time.
4. Installing the registered editor on a network drive is not recommended, both in technical terms, and in terms of a possible (though not deliberate) violations of the previous license agreement point.
5. The purchased license of "Localization projects editor" guaranties to the registered user free updates for a whole version cycle, and this for at least 12 (twelve) months.
6. Together with the "Localization projects editor" license, an additional source codes ( so-called "embedded localization"), are supplied to the customer. These source codes a customer may use and modify for its projects (including personal, educational, non-profit and commercial projects), but the source codes themselves, must not be included in the distribution packages of these projects.

Restrictions for "Localization projects editor":

1. You may redistribute this software, but the distribution package must not be modified in ANY WAY. All redistributions of this package must retain all occurrences of the above copyright notice and web links that are currently in place (for example, in the about boxes or documentation).
2. You may not emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer any version of the software, or any subset of it.
3. You may not in any way copy, modify, or otherwise manipulate with those parts of "Localization projects editor", that identify the license and registration. The only authorized manipulation is taking over the properly purchased license informations (the files or the keys) from the supplier and their installation (copy) into one defined place.
4. Any such unauthorized use, listed in one of the previous points, shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this license and may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution.
